People ask me all the time: can you make another one just like this? The answer is always no. Making the same thing twice would defeat the entire purpose of what I do.
The Promise of Uniqueness
When I say one of one, I mean it as a promise. The piece you own exists nowhere else on earth. Nobody will walk into a room wearing the same thing. That promise has real value in a world of mass production.
The Creative Reason
Repetition kills creativity. Each new piece pushes me to try new combinations, explore new techniques, and take risks. My best work comes from pieces where I tried something I had never done before.
The Spiritual Reason
God never repeats Himself. Every sunrise is different. Every person is different. My refusal to repeat designs is my small way of reflecting divine creativity.
See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
— Isaiah 43:19
New things. Always new things. That is the heartbeat of creation.
